DOMESTIC ENERGY ASSESSOR IN KENT
Fundamentally, an Energy Performance Certificate must be produced whenever the law requires a Home Information Pack to be produced or, from October 2008, EPC's must also be produced for all properties in the residential rental sector.
I have been trained to use the Government's approved methodology for inspecting existing homes.
Prior to visiting your property to complete the survey, I will ask you to complete a simple questionnaire in order to give me some details on the type of property I will be surveying.
The survey of your home will encompass the following areas and data will be collected and input into the approved system known as RDSAP.
Once the information has been collected and collated, it is input into the approved system and the EPC Certificate is produced. The EPC Certificate also includes recommendations and advice on how the energy performance of your property can be improved, giving potential cost savings.
The EPC Certificate will also be lodged on a national register.
Any personal information will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
In accordance with the terms of my accreditation, a full complaints procedure is in place. If a complaint is received it will be looked into promptly and at no cost to the customer. If a resolution cannot be found, then the formal complaint will be independently arbitrated upon.
Full and comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance & Public Liability Insurance is also in place.
